Mackay Tourism Limited is one of 14 Queensland Regional Tourism Organisations, created to combine and apply the resources of the local public and private sector to build business and leisure tourism in Mackay and Isaac Regions. Mackay Tourism Limited has approximately 230 Member businesses ranging from large, sophisticated organisations like Mackay Airport, QR and the Regional Councils, to small family operations such as a bed and breakfast or caf?. All Members are united in an agreed vision and action plan for tourism, overseen by our elected Board, working closely with Tourism Queensland, implementing the Mackay Region Destination Management Plan. To ensure that tourism achieves its full potential as a strategic growth industry and becomes a cornerstone of the Mackay region economy, generating income, employment and investment for the benefit of the entire region, with a specific focus on PRODUCT, PROMOTION & PERFORMANCE. Choose your Level of Membership to provide the best return: Bronze This category is for private individuals and charitable/not-for-profit organisations keen to support and remain abreast of tourism affairs in our region. Silver Designed for small or out of region businesses, wishing to limit their promotion to the 40,000 or so visitors, who arrive annually at our Visitor Information Centres. Also for local businesses that provide support services to tourism and hospitality operators and see the value that tourism growth provides. Gold Recommended for active tourism and hospitality businesses wishing their products and services to be promoted economically to intending visitors, media and the travel industry in our target markets. Gold membership provides access to a fantastic range of promotional opportunities to suit all product types and budgets year-round.
